Preventative Care

Yearly physical examinations are a vital part of maintaining your pet's health. This helps us to detect medical problems at an earlier time. We also strongly encourage our clients to have their pet's blood tested on an annual basis. Blood work allows a more in depth look at internal organ function. We are able to screen for problems such as liver disease, kidney disease, infection, diabetes, and thyroid disease, and to then institute therapy as needed.

Surgery

Our animal hospital provides many surgical procedures, from elective ovariohysterectomy and castration (spay and neuter) to more extensive orthopedic and soft tissue surgeries. We utilize modern anesthesia machines that monitor your pet's vital parameters while under anesthesia.

Dentistry

Pets need dental care too! We perform dental cleanings to help maintain good oral hygiene for your pets. Tooth extractions and other procedures are done on an as needed basis. We also recommend that you care for your pet's teeth and gums at home. Ask a technician or doctor for more details!

In house Laboratory

In our clinic, we have the capability to run many tests, including chemistry profiles (to check the body's vital organs and electrolytes, etc), complete blood counts, fungal cultures, cytology, fecal analysis for parasites, and urinalysis. Additional tests are sent to an outside laboratory when needed.

X-Ray

Sometimes, your pet many need an x-ray to help our staff determine the cause of a health problem. With our equipment, we can look for orthopedic diseases such as arthritis, or examine the heart or abdominal organs.

Internal Medicine

Our clinic offers a variety of diagnostic tests, including blood work and radiographs (x-rays) to help us determine the specific health problem of your pet. We also offer referrals to many board certified specialists when needed.

Special care of Geriatrics

As animals age, it is important to screen for certain diseases and conditions that affect the older pet. Yearly blood work and physical examinations help us to find these conditions at an earlier stage! It is our goal to make your pet's senior years the highest quality possible.

Microchips

Microchips are an important way of ensuring that a lost pet can be found and brought home to you! They act to permanently identify your special pet.
